Sea Sunday in Kirkudbright

A Sea Sunday service was held in Greyfriars Church Kirkcudbright 30th. June 2019 in a joint service with Gatehouse of Fleet Episcopal church.

Local Sea Cadets were led in by piper Dr. John Hannay and Commodore Bob Williams RN rtd. . A packed church service was led by the Rector Rev. Stephen Hazlett , Mission to Seafarers chaplain to Rotterdam 2012 -2016, and was also attended by representatives from the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy Association, the Coast Guard, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Fishermen’s Mission.

Hats knitted by MTSS volunteers

Locally knitted woollen garments were also presented for seafarers and the offering was taken for Mission to Seafarers Scotland.
