Volunteering with MtSS
Volunteers are the lifeblood of The Mission to Seafarers, without your help the organisation could not help the 1.5 million seafarers across the globe. Volunteering with the Mission has great personal benefits too, we seek to ensure that through volunteering with us you will:
Gain confidence: Volunteering can help you gain confidence by giving you the chance to try something new and build a real sense of achievement.
Make a difference: Volunteering can have a real positive effect on seafarers, being there for them as a friend in ports is of immeasurable value to them when they spend so long away from home.
Meet people and become part of a community: Volunteering can help you meet different kinds of like-minded people and make new friends.
Learn new skills: Volunteering can help you learn new skills, gain experience and sometimes even qualifications.
Take on a challenge: Through volunteering you can challenge yourself to try something different, achieve personal goals, practice using your skills and discover hidden talents.
Have fun! Spending time with your friends, helping others out and making sure that you enjoy the experience!
