Seafarers Programme – BBC
The BBC World Service has broadcast a programme entitled “The seafarers stranded on the high seas” for their assignment section. The programme is now available on the BBC website.
It mainly features a Filipino seafarer who Revd Dennis Woodward, Chaplain to the Port of Rotterdam, has been supporting pastorally from a distance (via WhatsApp) and who has been onboard a tanker for more than a year. We hear some of his story and current challenges he faces being away from his family for such a long time.
